  We had not fly fished the Tuck before and had reserved a guide from Hookers Fly Shop for this past Friday, May 24. When we booked, we had been told the owner of the shop would be guiding us but when we arrived, it turned out that a younger guide was assigned us. This young man tired to make our day enjoyable and productive but we found that, though very nice, he was a full time student and only guided a couple of times each month. So, he was not as up to speed as would have been a full time guide. Further, the shop owner, though cordial, did not seem remotely interested in whether we had caught fish or not. The fly shop was very sparsely stocked with inventory. We would not use them again and would not recommend. There is a fly shop in Cherokee that is far superior.
